Dialectical Behavior Therapy (“DBT”) is a treatment model that, when actively used and practiced, is effective at helping you regulate challenging and potentially self-destructive ways of thinking, feeling and behaving that negatively impact your life.  DBT encourages you to practice self-acceptance, while at the same time embracing the necessity for change, which creates a more flexible and effective approach to life.

DBT combines cognitive behavioral therapy and mindfulness skills delivered through a highly structured approach to group therapy.  Participants have the opportunity to learn the following DBT content modules:

  • Mindfulness

  • Distress Tolerance

  • Emotion Regulation

  • Interpersonal Effectiveness

The primary aim of DBT skills training is to assist you with developing and applying effective daily living skills.
